Most programs are delivered on the HBS campus, where Executive Education has nine dedicated classrooms and more than 500 dedicated bedrooms in three executive residences. To meet the diverse needs of our community, our programming now includes in-person, virtual, and blended options. The Executive Education department consists of open enrollment, global, and custom program portfolio management; guest services; marketing; corporate sales; program operations; technology services; enrollment and admissions; and finance.

Summary
The Assistant Director, Client Development will work closely and report to the Director, of Client Development, and Executive Education to develop and implement a successful sales strategy in the Middle East region. KPIs will include the expansion of existing corporate accounts and building a pipeline of new organizations for qualified participants for Harvard Business School’s Executive Education programs.

This position will be based in either Dubai or Egypt, depending on the candidate's experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
As part of this strategy, the Assistant Director, Client Development will:
Work closely with the Director to develop and execute outreach strategies for the region that drive quality applicants from a targeted list of client and prospect organizations.
Manage B2B incoming regional leads from Program Advising and other teams.
Nurture trust-based, value-add relationships (TBVA) with senior learning and development leaders and/or line of business executives with decision-making authority.
Work with the Corporate Marketing team, Program Directors, and faculty to develop and execute a regional events strategy for increasing brand awareness.
Build loyalty that broadens client exposure and fosters long-term program annuities.
Work closely with internal constituents (Program Directors, Finance,EAS, etc.) to deliver a seamless client experience.
Manage opportunities via the Salesforce system to keep all department teams informed of contact with organizations.
Become knowledgeable on the program portfolio as well as other HBS offerings, including those from Harvard Business Online (HBSO) and HBP Corporate Learning.
Develop a deep understanding of the competitive market in the region and how HBS creates value for client companies, program participants, faculty, and the School overall.
Approximately 40% travel required.
This role is responsible for other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications
5+ years of work experience in a client-facing sales or support role.
2+ years of direct sales/business development experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in Dubai or Egypt

Excellent client-facing skills.
Strong skills in written and spoken English required; Arabic speakers strongly preferred
Must be a strong collaborator who can build trust across a wide range of stakeholders.
Must believe in the mission and academic philosophy of HBS.
Agile and adaptive to constantly changing client needs and competitive moves.
Ability to focus, engage,and develop high standards of performance and professionalism.
High levels of emotional and cultural intelligence and equal confidence in data and analytics.
Capable of operating in a highly complex environment such as academia,with the concerns of higher education, and a nuanced decision-making process.
Familiarity with the executive and leadership development environment is a plus.
