King Mongkut’s International Demonstration School (KMIDS) is looking for a dedicated Computer Science / Robotics Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preparing middle and high school students for careers in emerging technologies through hands-on, project-based learning. Candidates with a teaching license or degree in education are preferred.
About the Role:
- Full-time position with approximately 18+ contact hours per week.
- Responsibilities include delivering engaging ICT and robotics curricula for Grades 6–9.
- Courses include Programming with Karel and Python, Web Design, Robotics with various tools, and concepts like Digital Citizenship and Artificial Intelligence.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Design and facilitate engaging lessons incorporating real-world applications and 21st-century skills.
- Utilize platforms like CodeHS.com for curriculum delivery and student progress tracking.
- Integrate project-based and inquiry-driven learning strategies.
- Collaborate with school leadership to enhance the STEAM program.
Robotics & Programming Expertise:
- Practical knowledge of physical computing and robotic systems.
- Experience in teaching programming languages like Python and familiarity with block-based coding, HTML/CSS, and Unity.
- Guide students in engineering design principles through robotics projects and competitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years teaching experience in ICT or Robotics.
- Familiarity with international education settings preferred.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Willingness to coach and support students in academic competitions and clubs.
- Team-oriented and excited about innovation in education.
