The Deputy Head of School and Head of Primary will be an exceptional motivator, have a finely tuned capacity for diplomacy and cross-cultural empathy, and be highly competent in monitoring and evaluating teams and individuals.
About the Role
The successful applicant will support the Chinese Principal in the leadership and management of all departments within the school. The Deputy Head of School and Head of Primary will work closely with colleagues across all departments to ensure that the learning experience for all pupils is developed in its broadest sense, forging strong links between the academic, co-curricular and boarding lives of the school.
Working in close collaboration with the Chinese Principal, the Deputy Head of School and Head of Primary will provide visionary leadership for the development of the whole school into a model of high quality education within China and beyond.
Background
Dipont KCS Chengdu was established in September 2021 with the largest ever opening roll of any new bilingual or international school in Chengdu. It was formed through partnership between the prestigious King’s College School, Wimbledon, one of the most academically successful schools in the world.

Excellent professional presence and sound people skills
A passion for education and an ability to innovate and inspire
Sound knowledge of the UK educational system
An ability to relate well to other cultures
Ability to provide clear, concise reporting both written and verbal
Previous experience of working overseas, particularly in an Asian cultural setting (desirable)
