We are seeking an experienced and motivated English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to join our team at Ruamrudee International School Phuket. This role involves designing and implementing language instruction for ELL students while also providing comprehensive support services to promote the well-being and academic success of all students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and external professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that ensures every student has the resources necessary to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Language Instruction and Support:
Design, plan, and implement English language instruction tailored to ELL students.
Monitor and assess student progress, utilizing various teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
Develop lesson plans and materials to meet the individual needs of ELL students.
Provide support and guidance to ELL students, facilitating their academic and social development.
Student Advocacy and Collaboration:
Advocate for students by working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to identify and address individual learning needs.
Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement strategies that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Facilitate regular communication with parents regarding student progress and strategies for improvement.
Individualized Support Plans:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support plans for students with diverse learning needs.
Work with teachers to differentiate instruction and assessment based on individual student requirements.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in the language arts classroom.
Implement effective classroom management strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data related to student academic performance, attendance, and behavior.
Generate regular reports to inform decision-making and identify trends that may require targeted interventions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Knowledgeable in language acquisition and experienced in teaching ELL students (at least 2 years).
Experience using a variety of teaching methods and materials
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Patience and understanding of cultural differences
Able to work independently and as part of a team
