We are seeking an experienced and visionary female Head of Digital Innovation to join the Senior Leadership Team at Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls (SZPAG) in January 2025. This pivotal role involves shaping the school's digital strategy, aligning it with global standards, and ensuring full compliance with ADEK while driving innovation that empowers staff and students alike.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the SZPA Digital Strategy, ensuring it is forward-thinking, ADEK compliant, and aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
Evaluate the current digital infrastructure and collaborate with the IT Manager to ensure our program supports the school’s innovation goals.
Maintain our Apple Distinguished School status, regularly assessing progress, evidencing impact and identifying opportunities to maintain and enhance this designation.
Guide teachers in the effective integration of digital tools and innovative practices to deliver engaging, differentiated, and impactful learning experiences.
Develop and implement professional development programs that empower staff to confidently use cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies.
Research, pilot, and integrate new technologies and apps to maintain the school’s position as a leader in digital education.
Collaborate with the Principal and Leadership Teams across the academy to ensure digital strategies support school development plans and curriculum objectives.
Promote digital citizenship and ensure a robust approach to internet safety and ethical technology use.
Lead innovation in assessment practices through digital tools, fostering constructive teacher-student dialogue.
Oversee and optimize the use of iPads and online programs, ensuring compliance, renewals, and effective deployment across the curriculum.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven track record of at least 2 years of teaching experience, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Apple technology, apps, and innovative teaching strategies.
Experience of working in an Apple Distinguished School is highly desirable.
A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
