As we continue to grow and expand our EYFS provision, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team.
Position: Head of EYFS
We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an EYFS specialist with a strong educational background, ideally educated to Master’s degree level and potentially with leadership qualifications. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-quality EYFS curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our children, including those who are English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Leadership qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years working in EYFS within the UK education system, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- International Experience: Proven experience leading in an international school setting is essential.
- Skills: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to thrive in a newly created position, with a willingness to embrace change and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring it is child-centred, inclusive, and aligned with best practises.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, supporting and mentoring EYFS staff to achieve their professional goals.
- Work closely with parents and the wider community to promote engagement and support for children’s learning and development.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in the EYFS, using data to inform practice and drive improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and welfare requirements, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
- Collaborate with school leadership to contribute to the strategic vision and development of the school.
