We are a Nord Anglia Education School and the largest international school in Vietnam, educating over 2,400 students from more than 55 countries. In our most recent BSO Inspection, in November 2022, the school was rated ‘Outstanding in all Categories’ by the British Government. Our students achieve some of the best examination results in the world and go on to attend the top universities globally.

Our three campuses, located in the heart of Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, cater to students from 2 to 18 years of age. Split by age group, each purpose-built campus is home to state-of-the-art facilities, packed with interactive technology, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

The school is currently looking to recruit a:
Head of Spanish
The Spanish Department functions within a very vibrant and creative MFL Department at BIS, where French and Chinese are also offered to students. Collaboration and cooperation amongst students and staff are key to its success. The teaching of Spanish takes place in purpose-built classrooms which were fully renovated recently to include the very latest technology. Teachers nurture an active use of the target language delivering lessons which are engaging and communicative.

Students are very responsive and open to using foreign languages and they also benefit from conversing regularly with a Spanish foreign language assistant. Students opt for a language in Primary and tend to carry it through Secondary and onward into their IGCSE and IBDP options.

The Head of Spanish works with the two other subject leads in the MFL department (French and Chinese) under the direction of the Head of MFL. The Head of Spanish leads a team of dedicated teachers and a language assistant in an exciting and challenging role with excellent opportunities for leadership development and growth. KS5 teaching experience is essential and IBDP experience is highly desired.
