Job Overview:

Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in history, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to engage students in exploring the past to understand the present and future.

Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Instruction: Plan and deliver effective lessons in history, covering various historical periods, events, and themes. Engage students with diverse teaching methods that cater to different learning styles.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of the history curriculum to ensure it meets educational standards and inspires critical thinking among students.
Assessment: Design and administer assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning.
Student Support: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry. Offer additional support to students as needed to help them succeed.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions.
Extracurricular Activities: Lead or support history-related extracurricular activities, such as history clubs, field trips, or school events, to enrich the student learning experience.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Education, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience teaching history at the secondary school level.

Skills:
Strong understanding of historical concepts and the ability to make them accessible and engaging for students.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop an interest in history.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.
