Job overview
Are you an outstanding teacher seeking your next challenge? Do you want to grow and develop in a school that believes children’s happiness and academic success walk hand in hand? Are you ready to join a supportive team in an inspiring school?
Our rapidly expanding British International Primary school offering PYP is looking for an outstanding class teacher to join our team of dedicated practitioners. We welcome applications from outstanding, self-motivated and reflective professionals. We are looking for the right blend of expertise, enthusiasm and experience and passion within a Primary environment.
In this role, you’ll know your students and use your skills and expertise to provide outstanding teaching and support to every student in your care. You will communicate confidently across diverse audiences and situations to build strong relationships with parents and students. You’ll model the school’s vision: to nurture, empower and connect students with their local and global communities, to become international citizens who are active, compassionate and lifelong learners.
Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience to the table. You must also be able to meet the visa-related requirements for Vietnam. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement. Backed by the expertise and support of Reigate Grammar School in the UK, RGSV offers a competitive salary, annual family flights, family medical cover, accommodation, work visas, free education for up to two dependent children, and other overseas benefits.
Safeguarding
This role will involve contact with children. Reigate Grammar School Vietnam is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All applicants are required to declare any criminal convictions, cautions or disciplinary proceedings related to young people. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Services.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
Reigate Grammar School Vietnam is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from appropriately qualified persons from all backgrounds. We are dedicated to creating and sustaining an environment that values individuality and difference and celebrates the diversity of both staff and pupils by fostering perseverance, tolerance and integrity. We believe in equal opportunity for everyone, irrespective of age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation or socio-economic background. Candidates will be assessed against relevant criteria only (i.e. skills, qualifications, abilities, experience) in selection and recruitment. We know that more diverse teams are stronger teams, and that the more inclusive we are, the more our staff and pupils will feel a sense of belonging and will thrive.
The closing date for applications is 10 February 2025. However, Reigate Grammar School Vietnam reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date.
Start Date: 1st August 2025
