Job Overview:
Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and a passion for teaching young learners. Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that meet the developmental needs of primary school students across a range of subjects.
Student Assessment: Utilize a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and encourage student engagement.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with other teachers to develop and enhance the primary school curriculum, ensuring it meets educational standards and promotes holistic development.
Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in primary education and integrate new strategies into the classroom.
Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
School Community: Actively participate in school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities to foster a strong sense of community within the school.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited university.
Certification: Valid teaching certification specifically for primary education issued by a recognized university or educational institution. Certifications such as TKT, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, and TESL are not accepted for this position.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience teaching at the primary school level.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of primary education pedagogy and curriculum development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
Effective classroom management techniques.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.
