Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA), Hong Kong is now recruiting an enthusiastic and committed teacher for the above position for the school year beginning August 2025:
Key Responsibilities:
Review and revise the primary Chinese curriculum
Oversee the Chinese language department, mentor teachers, and coordinate curriculum development
Work with MYP Chinese Department to ensure continuous alignment in curriculum and methodology
Design engaging and inquiry-based Chinese language lessons in accordance with the IB PYP framework
Ideal candidates will:
Possess teaching qualifications plus a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Chinese language, linguistics, or a related field
Be fluent in Chinese and proficient in English for effective communication within the school community
Have in-depth knowledge of the IB PYP curriculum, philosophy, and teaching methodologies
Have substantial teaching experience in Chinese language instruction, preferably in an IB PYP or similar international school setting
Possess strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
