Looking for: One-on-One Classroom Support and Student Support Officer

Location: Samwa Tawan Tok, Khlong Sam Wa, Bangkok

Position Type: Full-time

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified Specialist 1:1 Assistant to work directly with students who require individualized support in the classroom. The ideal candidate will provide tailored assistance to help students overcome challenges, keep up with the curriculum, and participate fully in school activities. This role is essential for ensuring that students receive the personalized attention they need to succeed both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

● Provide Individualized Support: Work exclusively with assigned students to meet their specific academic, behavioral, and social needs.

● Assist in Classroom Activities: Ensure the student participates actively in class, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.

● Monitor Progress: Track the student's development and progress, regularly updating teachers and parents.

● Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to adapt lesson plans and strategies to meet the child’s learning style.

● Flexible Intervention: Assist in transitioning students from full-time support to more independent or shadow support as their skills improve.

● Maintain Regular Communication: Keep parents, teachers, and school administrators informed about the student's progress and any adjustments to their learning plan.

Qualifications

● Education: Bachelor's degree in education, special education, psychology, or a related field.

● Experience: Previous experience working with children with special needs in a classroom setting is preferred.

Skills:

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Patience and a positive attitude toward working with children

● Ability to adapt teaching methods based on student needs

● Certification: Relevant teaching or educational support certifications are a plus.
