DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum
Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Due to continued expansion and growth, Dubai British School Emirates Hills is seeking a Teacher of Drama (with Art) to join our thriving school.

Requirements:
A high-quality degree in Drama or related fields
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
At least two years teaching experience, including the teaching of Drama at GCSE and A-Level
The ability to offer additional subjects at any level would be an advantage
An ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results
A commitment to the wellbeing of all students within their care
A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life
The ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international, multicultural, and demanding environment

Once you have joined us in-country our INSET programme, tailored specifically for the needs of new staff, aims to help you settle into life in Dubai (if you are new to the UAE), and familiarise yourself with our school-specific policy and practices in a smaller group setting with our senior leaders. Returning staff then join us for an induction into the school year.
Our vibrant in-school social committee ensures that there are plenty of opportunities to build firm friendships across academic teams while exploring common interests, such as dog walking, attending shows, playing sports, or even meeting up for a Sunday lunch! These opportunities are shared monthly and are targeted at all staff, new and returning.
Our bespoke DBSEH standards offer a framework for professional support and challenge. Promoting staff agency, you are put in the driving seat of your professional learning and through coaching conversations with a leader you decide the pathway you want to take to professional excellence, whether this be through self-directed learning such as an action research project or through more formal accredited routes such as the NPQ suite of qualifications, subsidised by the school.
