Job overview
The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher in our Primary Section to inspire young learners and foster a love of music. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching music to children from diverse backgrounds and skill levels, creating a fun and supportive environment that encourages creativity, confidence and musical growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that incorporate a variety of musical concepts, instruments, and vocal techniques.
Foster students’ appreciation of music by exposing them to different genres, styles, and cultural influences.
Organise and direct musical performances, such as school concerts, assemblies, and special events.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
Collaborate with Class Teachers to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum.
Maintain and manage musical equipment, instruments, and resources.
Encourage student participation in extracurricular music activities or clubs.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music or a related field.
Teaching qualification or certification.
Experience teaching music to primary-aged children.
Strong skills in class vocal teaching and piano (ability to teach strings or woodwind is an advantage).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
Willingness to lead an extracurricular club or activity.
