King George V (KGV) School is seeking to appoint a Vice Principal who will play an essential role in the school community. The Vice Principal functions as a lead learner in this vibrant, high-performing and future-focused school. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the appointed candidate will be empowered to drive change, innovate and continually improve outcomes. The role will also include significant management and organisational responsibilities within our school. All Vice Principals have some teaching commitment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will offer significant leadership and management experience, strong interpersonal skills and a record of developing innovative practices that improve student outcomes.
The role provides opportunities for strategic leadership, and managing a range of teams across different areas of the school.
The appointed candidate will:
Consistently champion and uphold the school’s core values and foster supportive relationships
Support the school’s mission statement and IB Learner profile
Develop and articulate a shared vision and strategic development plan for the school/phase and lead colleagues in achieving this
Create an atmosphere of mutual trust where collaboration, discussion, debate and teamwork are promoted within the school.
Model exemplary professional practice
Contribute to the development of KGV as a professional learning community, fostering a spirit of inquiry, innovation, professional learning and reflection
Promote high standards and expectations through supporting performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Education, or
Bachelor's Degree with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent teaching qualification
Senior leadership experience in a similarly sized school
Experiences in a range of different schools and/or a school with a well-developed international outlook
